Reflections,
observations, random thoughts, mental notes!

If
a sales assistant offers you a sample of anti-wrinkle cream, does that mean
a) You
have wrinkles?
b) They
have anti-wrinkle cream on promotion?
c) You
will develop wrinkles worrying why you have been given the sample and
therefore ultimately need the cream?
I
think I suffer from sample paranoia. Once
the seed of a negative idea is planted in your mind it can grow unchecked. Every
cover of ever magazine, every advert on TV, every promotional offer will no
doubt fuel the fire - I have wrinkles
and I’m overweight, spotty and ugly (paranoia likes to attract company). Whenever I find myself about to board the
paranoia train, I remember the following passage from the Secret Garden:
“thoughts—just mere thoughts—are as
powerful as electric batteries—as good for one as sunlight is, or as bad for
one as poison. To let a sad thought or a bad one get into your mind is as
dangerous as letting a scarlet fever germ get into your body.”
Smile
and take pleasure in the small things, life is only as complex as you make
it!

My
Skin
How
comfortable does my skin feel after cleansing?
|
My
skin feels a lot brighter following the clay mask last night – happy days
(sounding a bit like Jamie Oliver there).

The
lovely people on Dr.Hauschka UK Facebook page are
giving away a Radiant You sampler kit – all you need to do is like the post
(recognizable by Peacock butterfly picture) and state why you feel your skin
is in need of 30 days of Radiant You.
Competition closes at 10am on Monday 20th August.
Wheatgrass
shot for breakfast ; )
Ingredients: Handful of wheatgrass, 1 apple, 1 chunk of lemon and 1 chunk of ginger I had to explain to my mother why using teams such as “whipped cream” might not be the most sensible internet search tactic …she was only trying to find a Mary Berry recipe.
I
intervened as a translator in the local supermarket, an American chap was
bamboozling the assistant with his talk of oREGano (English translation = oreGANo ). I must admit I was tempted to let them carry on their
conversation, but when she concluded he was a random lunatic with a fetish
for giant raisins, I felt it was time for action.

Whilst
on the subject of all things herb related, I discovered a mint moth hiding in
my garden..a bit blurry as he didn't stay around for long!
