Reflections, observations, random thoughts, mental notes!
Dr.Hauschka New Zealand posted a “Lipstick Personality Test”:

I spent the morning pondering exactly what my lipstick said about me. I concluded it said I was too scared to use it; although I have ventured into the world of tinted gloss (I know, such a rebel ; ). I am always at a loss as to which shade would suit me best. Maybe I should get my colours done?  Am I turning into Bridget Jones’s mother, or am I sitting on the fence in “fudges and slurries”?

"Just on my way to Debenhams and I know you always come in here for
your breakfast. Thought I'd pop in and see when you want your colours done. Ooh I fancy a cup of coffee. Do you think they'll warm up the milk?"

"Mum, I've told you I don't want my colours done," I muttered, scarlet, as people stared and a sulky, rushed-off-her-feet waitress bustled up.

"Oh don't be such a stick-in-the-mud, darling. You need to make a statement about yourself. Not sitting on the fence all the time in all these fudges and slurries

My Skin
How comfortable does my skin feel after cleansing?
A shining 7 out of 10 today…(if my life were a movie Van Morrison would merrily be singing “Days Like This” in the background today).

Activities & Mood:
We have now overtaken the Beijing Gold medal tally, the world is gripped with Olympic fever. So many inspirational stories and people.

Beautiful early morning walk by the river, when even the swans were sleeping (see picture of the day). A couple of swans woke up and promptly honked at me for not bearing gifts!  I love the early morning stillness. I did have another attack of “litter rage”.  I am considering putting up signage to inform would-be offenders that Wombles are just fictional characters.  Moreover, even they would be hard pushed to make good use of the things that the everyday folks are leaving behind at the river…

I attended a work meeting with lots of buzz words – blue sky thinking, all singing from the same hymn sheet, ducks lined up in a row. I have my own little game, it is called mixed up clichés.  My best for today was “well that really is the icing on the camel’s back”….

Boldness has genius, power and magic in it!'” – Goethe
