Reflections,
observations, random thoughts, mental notes!

I
am sometimes asked which SPF I use in conjunction with my Dr.Hauschka Day
cream. The answer is quite simply “none”
(maybe that is why offers of anti-wrinkle cream samples abound? She mused, again one foot on the paranoia
train). Don’t get me wrong, I will use
a sun protection cream (Lavera is a good natural brand, as alas Dr.Hauschka suns
creams were discontinued) if I am going somewhere particularly sunny, or on an
exceptionally hot day. However, on a
daily basis I believe a little exposure is necessary for the body to
synthesize vitamin D. My grandmother
had exceptionally wrinkle free skin at the age of 96, and she certainly never
used anything apart from a sunhat (I hope I have inherited her genes, as
opposed to the hat).

How
comfortable does my skin feel after cleansing?

Surprisingly
itch free for such a hot day – soothing mask is a little miracle in handy
tube format.

I
have read the first chapter of Gok’s book.
A bit of a conundrum as it would seem a staple wardrobe item is a
white shirt – hmmmmmm white makes me
look like an extra from An Interview
with a Vampire. I will improvise,
pale gold is the new white (my wardrobe my rules!).
I went to Kew again this morning, the giant waterlily pads looked so refreshing and inviting, like you could just stretch out on one and float away:
Fingers
crossed we have a pumpkin….not quite as impressive as the ones at Kew, but a
pumpkin nonetheless (oh the joy of small things in life)
The
wheatgrass was running riot, so I juiced it all and converted to frozen wheatgrass shots (using ice cube bags).
This picture looks a bit like I have enlisted in the A-team and created some sort of home-made weapon - wheatgrass and ginger grenades!
