Day Thirteen

Date: 9th August 2012
Weather: From soggy to sizzle

Products used:
AM
·       Sage Bath (in cleansing water)
·       Cleansing Cream
·       Cleansing Milk (shhhhhh…my guilty pleasure*)
·       Clarifying Toner
·       Melissa Day Cream
·       Regenerating Eye Cream
·       Lip Care Stick
·       Rose Body Oil
·       Fitness Foot Balm
*My guilty pleasure is mixing one pump of my Cleansing Milk with the Cleansing Cream; it just has the most magically silky and reassuring texture.

PM
·       Lavender Bath (in cleansing water)
·       Cleansing Cream
·       Rhythmic Night Conditioner
Reflections, observations, random thoughts, mental notes!
As much as I love the spritz bottles, I find the best way to apply my toner is by using approx. 5 pumps into a cupped hand; then using the press and roll action to apply. Saying this, a spritz directly to the face is glorious on a particularly sunny day.
When used correctly (no scrubbing please), a tube of Cleansing Cream is a bit like the Duracell Bunny, it keeps going.

My Skin
How comfortable does my skin feel after cleansing?
I felt in need of a little extra emotional support this morning, so indulged in a Cleansing Milk mix – press and roll heaven!

Activities & Mood:
Chia seed porridge for breakfast, which paradoxically made me feel both light and full. Incredibly delicious and nutritious.  The only drawback is appearance: frogspawn ; ( Perhaps adding extra nuts and seeds will salvage the situation? I shall tinker with my recipe and see what happens (the reference to George’s Marvellous medicine yesterday has given me ideas!)

·        25g Chia Seeds
·        1tbs Maple Syrup
·        225ml Coconut Milk
All ingredients combined in a bowl and left in the fridge overnight to eat the next morning (the chia seeds, not the fridge).

There is no doubt that the London Olympics have been a tremendous success, but what are the mascots all about?  They are bizarre (for bizarre read “oddly phallic”). I encountered the following on my travels today; I am not sure what he is up to, looks kind of suspicious to me…

I was tempted to come up with yet another entry for the Dr.Hauschka at the Olympics competition, but enough with my meddling (or medaling.. I would be awarded gold in the sport of mischievous distractions)

A sweet pea has emerged (well either that or it is a Nasturtium in a cunning disguise).

Picture for the day:
I wonder if I can change my career to Bee Photographer?  I should like that..

Quote for the day:
“I've seen and met angels wearing the disguise of ordinary people living ordinary lives”
Tracy Chapman
