Reflections, observations, random thoughts, mental notes!
This morning as I prepared my cleansing water, I remembered to be grateful for the water itself, which is often overlooked and taken for granted. Water is precious.

I received a free trial size of lemon lemongrass body oil with my last order, so decided to give that a whirl.  Whilst the name does not trip easily from the tongue*, it is certainly an oil with which you could trip the light fantastic.

*Word grammar check suggests stating ‘lemon lemongrass body oil’ tips the balance of a sentence (“too many nouns”). Do too many nouns spoil the oil in the same way cooks would the broth?  No, it is quite delightful.

My Skin
How comfortable does my skin feel after cleansing?
Although this blog is principally about my Radiant You experience, something I love about using Dr.Hauschka products is the wonderful sense of harmony they bring to your body as a whole.
I would now rate my skin (on a 1 to 10 comfort scale) as “Chopsticks” –number 6.  This is three points up from Day 1 ; )

Activities & Mood:
It seems that my nephew is being allowed to return to Ireland with emergency travel documents (issued by the Irish Embassy in France), very much praying that this is the case. We will know more tomorrow.

Team GB are currently 5th place in the Olympic medal table – 4 Golds in 24 hours!

I have to correct a statement from yesterday’s entry.  I claimed that I fell into the category of “Techno Joy,” embracing anything new with gay abandon. This morning, as I completed my first online VAT return, I experienced “Techno Fear”.  At the mere mention of HM Customs & Revenue, it is not the instruction manual that I throw away, rather all my capacity for logical thought.  Maybe it is simply because I feel overwhelmed with all the options. I only wanted to submit a  3 month return but ended up with the electronic search equivalent of a Fawlty Towers sketch:

Basil : Look, uh, go and get me a hammer.
Manuel: Uh, como?
Basil : Hammer.
Manuel: Hammer, oh... Oh, hamma sandwich!
Basil : Oh, do I have to go through this every time? Look, a HAMMER.
Manuel: My hamster?
Basil : No, not your hamster. How could I knock a nail in with your hamster?

The poppy seedlings have now appeared (might need a magnifying glass for this shot, the larger seedlings are the cornflowers – quite frankly now just showing off!).

The nasturtiums and sweat peas, although much more substantial sized seeds, are yet to emerge. At the time of planting, I was very dubious that the poppies would thrive; they had seemed so small and inconsequential.  This made my revisit the notion that your greatest weakness can be your greatest strength, which coupled with my reflection on the “Importance of Cleansing Water”* made me recall the quote for the day.

*this has triggered a random thought of replacing other Oscar Wilde titles - "An Ideal Cleansing Cream",  "The Truth of Face Masks".

Picture for the day:
My cat was looking at me mournfully, as if to say “What is with all the pictures of flowers? Surely I am much more beautiful, lavish attention on me!”

Quote for the day:
“In the world there is nothing more submissive and weak than water. Yet for attacking that which is hard and strong, nothing can surpass it”
Lao Tzu
