Reflections,
observations, random thoughts, mental notes!

The
Radiant You Kit comes with Lavender Bath, which I love using in the evenings,
but prefer Sage or Lemon first thing in the morning.
There
is a useful video on the Dr. Hauschka site, which can help with Press and
Roll technique.
Important note to self: Do not go into a reverie
and practice said technique whilst sitting in a local café, must have looked
like I was playing peek-a-boo with myself!

My Skin
How
comfortable does my skin feel after cleansing? Using a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 = Oven gloves required
to prevent constant touching.
|
One
little flea*, number three! * quite apt given it feels all itchy.
Saying
this, I was a lot less aware of my skin than I had been in the “Hauschka free”
week.

Concerns
|
I
have gone through a traumatic time lately as my grandmother sadly passed away
in June, close to the first anniversary of my dad’s death. So, even prior to
my experimental Hauschka free week, my skin had started to manifest its usual
signs of stress. I am also guilty of constantly touching /picking/rewashing.
Oh yes, I’m aware this makes things a zillion times worse. The first law of
holes should apply i.e. when you are in one stop digging. Alas, I normally commission a digger (or the
cosmetic equivalent – “I will
exfoliate!” -said in Dalek tone)

Pictures
taken immediately after washing yesterday morning (27-Jul-2012). In the "Hauschka free" week I had been using a Boots No 7 Cleanser, plus 101 free samples of face masks, exfoliators and moisturizers for blemish prone skin, picked up at various branches of Space NK. I wanted to recreate my "routine" (*cough*) prior to Radiant You - basically scrub your face as much as possible, with as many products as possible, lather, rinse and repeat:

Activities &
Mood:

A
day of Inspiration:
Firstly,
inspired by an exert from Monty Don’s journal, I set about trimming the
garden hedge
“Cutting
the hedges is as important to my garden as mowing the grass or growing
vegetables. Their crispness is the
rest of the garden’s licence to frolic and to spill” -27 July 2003
Hedges-
I
like the expression licence to frolic, although if I had a gardening card it
would read “Licence to deadhead”
Secondly,
after seeing photos of the stunning Olympic park flower meadows, I decided it
would be lovely to plant some similar seeds - Poppy, Sweat Pea, Nasturtium
and Cornflower - I am going to track their progress over my 30 day experience
– please, please, please some seeds appear like Edelweiss happy to meet
me!

you look the right way, you can see that the whole world is a garden.”
